Taylor Kennedy-Overton is the proud Senior Pastor of Faith Chapel Murfreesboro in Tennessee where she a native. She is the youngest daughter of Deacon Alex and Dr. Linda Kennedy. She is the granddaughter of Elder Dallas & Lady Penny Green and Evangelist Lela Johnson. She is the mother of Minister Kyla Overton. She has been a faithful member and leader at FCM all of her life. She accepted her calling to preach the Gospel February 10, 2018 and has since hit the ground running. In 2021, after the church was left without leader, she was offered the Pastoral position by the members and accepted on November 6, 2021. Thus the legacies of Pastors Elder Green and Dr. Linda Kennedy continue. Pastor Taylor is an affiliate Pastor of Gap Dweller’s Fellowship under the guidance and covering of Bishop Christopher A. Johnson Sr of Zion Christian Ministries. In addition to her serving in the Kingdom, Pastor Taylor serves in leadership in other vocational areas. She previously served as the Nurse Manager of both BrightQuest Nashville and BrightQuest San Diego. Her time with BrightQuest afforded her the opportunity to dive into the world of mental health, impact the lives of others, and craft her leadership/ managerial skills. Her life’s work is to preach the Gospel, offer Christ to everyone, and successfully bring mental health awareness to the Middle TN community and beyond.
